Jai won the fifth season of Britain’s Got Talent, capturing the hearts of a nation with his powerhouse vocals, natural charm, and versatile song interpretations.
His debut album Believe was released with Syco Music in 2011 and the popularity of the track, ‘To Where You Are,’ led to McDowall being invited by its original singer, Josh Groban, to jointly perform the song at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.
After touring the UK, Jai performed to critical acclaim at the 2011 Royal Variety Performance. He has since performed on the live finale of China’s Got Talent and had the privilege of entertaining royalty at the Queen’s Jubilee. As a solo concert artist, Jai has headlined a Scottish tour as well as many sold out dates across the UK.
Jai has toured the UK many times performing to sell out crowds singing the greatest hits from the West End and Broadway and has performed many solo shows In Glasgow’s Wild Caberet and London’s ‘Live at Zedel’ in Piccadilly Circus.
When he’s not touring, Jai can be found cruising the seven seas, performing as a headliner on various luxury cruise liners. He has also become a fixture in the UK Panto scene, playing Prince Charming at many prestigious venues, including Windsor Theatre Royal, Leeds CarriageWorks Theatre and The Palace Theatre in Redditch.
Jai made his West End debut in The Pirate Queen at The London Coliseum and toured the country with Susan Boyle in her Ten Tour aswell as being on the road with G4 frontman Jonathan Ansell in the UK wide tour of Les Musicals.
Jai resides in Ayrshire, Scotland with his lovable dog, Teddy.
